TES Parent Workshop: Anxiety in Children

Join the TES School-Based Mental Health Team on October 22 from 8:15–8:45 AM for a parent/caregiver workshop focused on understanding anxiety in children and learning practical strategies to support them at home. Please click here to view the flyer for more information and to RSVP.

ParentSquare Use

ParentSquare is a convenient tool that assists parents and teachers in having consistent and meaningful communication. ParentSquare messages are forwarded in real time to staff and alerts are sent as soon as a message arrives. While convenience is important, it is also equally important to respect our TES staff’s time outside of school hours. Parents are asked to send messages during school hours for nonemergent matters. While discouraged, evening and weekend messages will be answered during the next school day. Thank you for helping to respect our staff’s time outside of school.

Bully Prevention

HCPS School Counselors work to prevent bullying by teaching social-emotional skills, fostering

positive school climates, and providing support and interventions that promote respect and

safety at every grade level. On Wednesday, October 21, 2026, HCPS will join others across the nation in Unity Day by encouraging all staff, students, and families to wear and share the color orange to send a visible message of building unity through kindness, acceptance, and inclusion.

Health History Completion

This is a gentle reminder for families to complete the student health history online form for each child if you have not done so. Currently, about half of our students do not have these updated. If you have any questions, please contact our school nurse, Kim Lesniak.

Medication Procedure Change

If it becomes necessary to bring medication to our school nurse, to ensure privacy for our students, we ask that families either come to the clinic first thing in the morning or call to schedule a time to drop off medications. Drop off should be completed in a timely manner so our nurse can focus her attention on students. Thank you in advance for your help.
