TES Principal Update

Tuckahoe Families, 

This has been quite the year for unusual weather. I hope everyone stays safe today. 


Remote Learning: 
Students will work at their own pace to complete Remote Learning activities that were sent home on February 27th. Resources are available on the school division webpage at: https://www.henricoschools.us/page/remote-learning-day. There will be no live instruction; however, teachers will be available to answer questions via email or Parent Square. Students who are unable to access assignments due to power outages or other challenges will have two weeks to complete and submit their work. Students with disabilities will receive services and accommodations upon returning to school, before remote learning assignments are submitted.

Parent Input for Class Placement (optional)
Whether or not you choose to provide parental input, classroom communities and individual student needs are carefully considered. However, if you believe that there are unique circumstances regarding your child that may be overlooked, you are welcome to provide your input (i.e neighbors that should not be placed together, best friends that should not be placed together etc.). This form will be open for parent access until Friday, March 27 at 4 PM. Thank you for observing this timeline. Considerations for class placement will not be granted after the deadline. 

HCPS Stakeholder Survey: We want to know what you think!
HCPS has launched its annual survey, which can be taken until March 27.  We hope everyone will complete the 10-minute questionnaire that helps us know how we’re doing and what we can do better. 

Feedback from families helps us measure progress on our goals. Your answers can also lead to real changes. To take the parent/guardian survey, you can use the link previously sent to your email or visit henricoschools.us/page/annual-schools-survey. We look forward to hearing your thoughts! AND: As an incentive for completing the survey, you could help us win $500 if our school has the highest family participation rate in our magisterial district, as well as be entered into a drawing for prizes for your favorite teacher.


Spring Picture Day

AM Horseshoe Reminders

Just a reminder that drop off after the 7:40am tardy bell is not permitted. If students are not inside the school building for attendance at 7:40 am, they must report to the front office with a parent or guardian to sign in. Thank you for your support with this safety concern.
