Tuckahoe Families,
It’s definitely feeling like “Groundhog’s Day” this week. Per Sunday’s HCPS message, students will participate in remote learning on Monday and Tuesday. Students will work at their own pace to complete assignments on the printed Choice Boards provided before the storm. If your child has misplaced their board, teachers also sent a link to the board via ParentSquare. Teachers will monitor ParentSquare and respond to families’ questions throughout the day.
Student work will be turned in when schools reopen, and teachers will give feedback. Completing assignments verifies your child’s participation, as required by the State to count as a remote learning day. There will be no live instruction; however, teachers will be available to answer questions. Students with disabilities will receive services and accommodations upon returning to school, before remote learning assignments are submitted.
I’d like to extend a special thanks to our hardworking Facilities and Custodial teams for their efforts to prepare our building for a safe return for students and staff. This has been no easy task with all of the ice and cold temperatures.

Our annual Career Day is coming!
Our annual Career Day is coming up, and we would love to have you join us as a presenter. Career Day will be held on Friday, April 10 from 8:00-10:00 AM. We welcome a wide variety of careers. Presenters will remain in one classroom while classes rotate through, with each presentation lasting 15 to 20 minutes and repeated for approximately five rotations. Additional details will be shared to presenters upon registration.
