Morning Arrival Reminders
In accordance with HCPS policy, students must be inside the building prior to the tardy bell sounding at 7:40 AM in order to be counted on time.
Any student arriving at school after 7:40 AM must report to the main office to sign in and receive a tardy slip before going to the classroom. A parent or guardian must accompany the child to the main office to facilitate this process. If a reason for the tardy is not stated, then the tardy will be marked unexcused. We appreciate your cooperation and support.
Afternoon Early Dismissal Reminder
As mentioned in the TES Parent Handbook, students may not be released for an early dismissal after 1:50 PM. At that point in the day dismissal procedures are underway and staff must direct their attention to a safe and orderly dismissal process. Thank you for your cooperation.
Tuckahoe Day Parade
Tuckahoe is hosting our annual Tuckahoe Day Parade on 11/25 from 8:45 to 9:10. Students will be creating “floats” that they will carry as they walk through a parade route. All students are encouraged to wear green to school that day to symbolize that we are ONE FAMILY!
This is a schoolwide event, and all students grades K-5 are participating. We hope you can join us for the parade! It will take place outside, on the upper and lower areas of the playground. Parents may park and walk to the parade route. There will be cones placed along the route, so you know where to stand. Please plan to stay for the entire event so that all students get applause! We hope to see many of you there.
Scheduled Safety Drills
There are no drills scheduled for this week.
Have a great week everyone!
Sincerely,
Sonia Ford, Principal
