Veterans Day Celebration

Our annual Veterans Day assemblies will be held on Tuesday, November 11th. As in past years, Kindergarten students will recognize Veterans Day in their classrooms with a more developmentally appropriate activity, in lieu of attending the assemblies. We are compiling a slideshow of veterans from our Kindergarten students’ families and friends to be shown to Kindergarten students on Veterans Day. If you would like to register to be included in the slideshow, please register by TODAY (11/3) using this link: https://forms.gle/5W6Me9RmbknNGrAi8l.

Veteran guests who would like to attend with students in first through fifth Grades can register by TODAY (11/3) using this link: https://forms.gle/TKxmr7kBmtrzJ6Gx6. Two assemblies will be held. Fifth graders will be at both assemblies as part of the fifth grade chorus. First and second grade students will attend an assembly starting at 8:00AM. Third and fourth grade students will attend an assembly starting at 9:15AM. Questions can be directed to school counselors, Cari Malakoff (camalakoff@henrico.k12.va.us) and Kara Kalupanov khkalupanov@henrico.k12.va.us).

SCA Canned Food Drive for the Henrico Christmas Mother

We need your help! We are on a mission to collect as many cans as we can to help those in need have food for the holidays. Our annual Christmas Mother canned food drive is scheduled from Wednesday, November 5 to Friday, November 14. Please send in nonperishables such as soup, tuna, pasta, sauce, macaroni and cheese, etc. We like to make this a fun little competition! The teacher whose class donates the most cans will be crowned our next Turkey King or Queen. Can you help us fight hunger this holiday season?

Student Early Dismissals Reminder

Per the TES Parent/Student Handbook, signing your child out after 1:50 PM is not possible. Teachers and students are preparing for dismissal at that time. Be mindful of the end of the day activities and allow ample time for you to sign your child out and reach your final destination.

Gifted Referral Information

The gifted referral window will be open from Monday, October 27, through Monday, November 10, at 4PM. During this time, students may be referred to the gifted identification process by an educator, parent/guardian, community member, peer, or self. By submitting a referral, you are requesting your child be evaluated to determine eligibility for gifted services. To begin a referral, use the Google Form link to communicate your referral to school staff. Gifted referrals will not be accepted after 4PM on Monday, November 10. Contact your Gifted Identification Coordinator, Kavetta Anderson, (knanderson@henrico.k12.va.us) with questions. Please review the following information below:
